Getting Period Twice a Month: Is it Normal?
There are many reasons behind getting your period twice a month. Some of the most common ones are:
- Problems with thyroid
- Menopause
- Stress
- Uterine fibroids or cysts
- Birth control pills
- Underlying illness
Some women do experience bleeding throughout their pregnancy, and it can be mistaken for a period. If you have had intercourse and, had your period twice in a month, it is advisable to take a pregnancy test to be sure.
It is common to experience light spotting around two weeks after your period, especially if you are a young woman. You may experience light period twice a month when you are ovulating and experiencing a drop in the level of the oestrogen hormone.
